CONDITION MONITORING
Monitoring a parameter in a machine to identify changes that could indicate a developing fault interrupted productivity.
Acoustic Sensing
A sensor that passively detects and utilizes the presence of sound.
About Us
We develop AI powered hardware for acoustic condition monitoring. Using microphones and microprocessors to collect acoustic data from machines, we employ machine learning to create sound profiles that determine their working order. Our cost-effective sound sensors detect issues earlier than vibration sensors, contributing to the commercially viable realm of acoustic condition monitoring. We aim to make condition monitoring accessible by reducing the skill requirement and implementing low-cost technical solutions. Our goal is to drive the fourth industrial revolution by enabling autonomous equipment monitoring for manufacturing and supply chains.

How It Works
Mainitor collects acoustic data from machines using microphones and microcomputers.
- Acoustic data is collected from machines using microphones and microprocessors.
- Our Machine learning models create sound profiles that indicate the working condition of the machines.
- Sound profiles are created by analyzing the collected acoustic data, like how skilled technicians listen for tell-tale sounds to identify malfunctioning machinery.
- Our approach replaces the technician’s ear with a microphone and their brain with a computer, utilizing machine learning algorithms.
- Compared to vibration sensors, Mainitor’s sound sensors can detect problems up to 20 days (about 3 weeks) sooner and at a significantly lower cost.
Advancements in processing power and local machine learning capabilities have made acoustic condition monitoring commercially feasible. Mainitor aims to make condition monitoring accessible to more businesses by reducing the required level of human skill and experience. The significant cost of unexpected machine downtime highlights the importance of effective condition monitoring.
Despite interest, many major corporations struggle to implement condition monitoring programs. Although unplanned downtime cost them more than USD800 billion in 2021, 49% of Global Fortune 500 industrial firms had no CM at all.
